You Are Not Your Thoughts

Want to know a secret?

Here it goes…

I can sometimes be downright awful to myself.

Yep, that’s right. I sometimes think negative and harsh thoughts about myself. Sometimes, I criticize myself when I look in the mirror. I can be rude and crude about my body. I have come a long way in this journey of loving myself, but every so often, dislike, and even hate, creeps back in. I am betting you might have similar thoughts from time to time. This is why I felt like this blog post was so important for today because I have something I want to tell you (and myself, too).

YOU ARE NOT YOUR THOUGHTS.

You are divine, pure love created from a Source that is enamored by you. Your body is absolutely gorgeous, and amazing, and perfect in every way. You are capable of so much that is truly outstanding to witness. The horrible thought that you were thinking last night about your thighs is not who you are. You are magnificent and any thought that is less than that, is a downright lie.

“Believe that you deserve love. Believe that universal love is there for you. And you will begin to see exactly what you believe.” – Melody Beattie

So, what are your thoughts? Listen to yourself. What do you say to yourself on most given days? Are you beating yourself up? Are you critical of your stomach when you look in the mirror? Do you pick apart the freckles on your face or the crows feet that aren’t being helped by your eye cream?

These criticisms. These judgements.
These awful beliefs that you have created in your mind that have nothing to do with who you are.

Try believing something different for today. Ask God and the Universe for help to change these negative beliefs. You are pure love. Start believing that.

I recently revamped and revitalized my Facebook group, A Journey to Self-Love. If you could use more support in this area, I would LOVE for you to join us. You deserve more love and this group is sure to let you know that.
